Fried ice cream
fried ice-cream
fried ice cream was first seen in the US in around 1960. There are many conflicts on who and where particularly fried ice cream was invented. Some even say it was first made in a Japanese tempura restaurant. It is a delectable dish that is a perfect combination of steaming hot and freezing cold. There are many ways to make this dish, and here is an easy way the ingredients are easily accessible to all.
Ingredients:- Ice cream
- Bread crumbs (if you don't have bread crumbs, you can use cornflakes or any other flakes)
- Oil
- Corn flour water
Take neat scoops of ice cream and freeze overnight. You can freeze it for only 4 hours, but you get the neatest end product if you let it sit longer. The next step is to Dip ice cream in corn flour water, then in bread crumbs, repeat this process 2-5 times, and then freeze it again for 5 hours. Once it is done freezing, get your stove prepped, heat the oil and add the ice-cream balls one by one. Fry them on high heat till golden for best results. Enjoy it hot with hot fudge sauce or cold chocolate syrup. (You can experiment with different flavors of ice creams and bread crumbs)
